Rainfall Deciles in the Riverine Plains - July 2011

A lovely top up of rainfall over the weekend 5-7 August.
July was average (decile 4-7).
The growing season is generally below average (decile 1-3), except in the far south of the region (decile 4) where it’s still wet, nearly every where south of the Broken River.

Potential Yields for the Riverine Plains - July 2011

A range of yields is presented depending on the rainfall decile from now on.
They don’t include the most recent August rainfall.
Presumes optimum efficiency of 20 kg/mm/ha and 100mm stored soil moisture, 110mm of evaporation.
Stored soil moisture at grain fill could give upside to these yields. Waterlogging could decrease water use efficiency.
